There is no terrorism alert for travelers coming into Hawaii. The terrorism alert only currently only affects American’s traveling or living in European and Middle Eastern countries. Just as a precaution, homeland security is on the lookout for any potential threats within our country, even though the warning only applies to American’s overseas. The increased terrorism alert comes on the reports of credible increased chatter among Al-Queda. Georgia Senator Saxby Chambliss said that the chatter is “very reminiscent of what we saw pre-9/11.”
I expect longer security lines will follow, but flight cancellations or delays have not been happening so far.
