Usually, around this time of the year my phone starts ringing with companies begging me to advertise with them. I never bite. They tell me, “It’s booking season!”
Is it?
I’ve planned over 5000 plus weddings now, and I till this day, I have no idea when booking season is. Typically, brides would wait until after the holidays to start inquiring. And then, that hasn’t been the case in the past year, mostly because travel has been rather expensive.
But lately, right after the election, all I know is that for some reason, a lot of brides are calling to book their wedding for 2017. And dates are booking up. I have asked inquiring brides, “Why were they booking now?” and they just decided it was because they decided it was the right time. It had nothing to do with the election. So I have no idea why they are inquiring.
The moral of this blog? If you’re looking to get married in Hawaii in 2017, you should start inquiring with me immediately. If you don’t, you may not get the date you want.
Hope to talk to you soon!
Your friendly neighborhood wedding guy!
