Ender’s Game is a movie adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s wildly famous book, Ender’s Game. I never read the book, not sure I will. I saw Ender’s Game in the Titax XC Movie theater and the damn thing cost me $15 big ones. Was it worth it? No. In fact, I was hugely disappointed. If I could get my money back, I would definitely seize on the opportunity.
Why did I hate it? Well, it’s because the movie embraced a rather “hippish” view of war. A belief that in war, killing your enemy meant loving your enemy. If you live by this rule, you’ll love this movie. If you are like me and believe the only way to win a war, is to kill your enemy, and to make your enemy die for your country, then you’ll hate this movie. What’s sad is that the movie could have been really great. Instead all I got was another cheesy kids movie about laser tag, bullying, and a stupid justification of why we should love those who try to kill us.
Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
