Russel and Isabel's North Shore Hawaii Wedding

Russel and Isabel soak in the moment
COKE ANYONE?
The Hawaii Wedding of Russel and Isabel
"Hey", Russel smirked.
Isabel couldn't imagine that Russel, a boy she didn't know too well, had thrown a coke bottle, at her head of all places, to get her attention.
"Hey, do you wanna watch me swim?", he continued. Russel was part of the school's swim meet, the Michael Phelps of his school.
"If I say no, will you throw another coke bottle at me?" Isabel said rubbing the back of her head.
"Probably not," Russel smiled. "Most likely, next time I'll throw a diet coke bottle. I'm trying to watch my figure....after all, I do wear speedos."
Okay okay, that is not how Russel and Isabel met. That is me using my "Ex-Hollywood-Screenwriter-Creative-Freedom-License." But Russel and Isabel did meet in the 10th grade after Russel threw a coke bottle at her. After talking for awhile, he did invite her to one of his swim meets, which according to Isabel, "looked awesome." I'll take her word on that, and try not to picture Russel in speedos.
Talking about speedos, what use does speedos serve outside of competitive swimming? Why do men, especially old hairy men, with butt-crack hair extending to the back hair on their shoulders, elect to wear waterproof underwear at the beaches in Hawaii. I think there should be a law against that. I wonder if Isabel would have fallen for Russel if he were 400 pounds heavier, sported Sasquatch like fur all over his body, and sported that same speedo at his swim meet? Things that make you go hmmm.....

You need a pretty powerful flash to over power the sun
Since meeting in the 10th grade, Russel and Isabel had been together. To date, they have been together an amazing nine years. That's actually 900 years, if you count relationship years in Hollywood years. The Hollywood relationship formula is as follows:

Only on film can this be done in one single shot.

Russel and Isabel were an extremely fun couple to photograph, and to work with. They were both laid back, like myself, and willing to be rather patient with me as I tried to figure out how to get great shots. The lighting conditions at this beach can be fairly complicated, even though the pictures look as there is even light to around. I got some really great shots.

Russel pretty much settled into poses fairly easy.
Elizabeth struggled a little, but got the job done.

I like this shot, with the footprints

Two key ingredients to a happy marriage, communication and laughter.

This was a cool shot.

As you can see, I can pull off this shot anywhere where there's palm trees.

Now you tell me...how in the world does water stay on top of sand like that?
Talk to you all soon,

I have to agree Russel and Isabel do look like they've had a fantastic day together. Having a wedding in Hawaii makes the day more about the couple and not the guests
