Geetha's Surprise Vow Renewal
Geetha and Christian, making it official all over again.Taken on the G10, and color corrected SURPRISE WE'RE MARRIED! The Surprise Vow Renewal of Krishna and Geetha It all started with a call from Geetha. She told me me that she wanted to surprise Krishna, her husband, with a vow renewal ceremony, in Waikiki. Geetha didn't have a solid surprise plan in hand, so the plan was to just go with the flow. On the day of her vow renewal, Geetha somehow convinced Krishna to dress up in the morning, and to take a walk to the Duke Statue. She told Krishna she would be meeting someone famous... I think. Was it Tom Selleck? I have no idea. I guess Krishna was pretty surprised to see me, a nobody. I then explained who I was, and what I did for a living, the Geetha told her husband, that this was a surprise vow renewal. Krishna gave her one of those tender smiles, kissed her, and we headed to the beach to renew their vows. Surprise!Shot on Canon G10 Krishna and Geetha actually met at an event at which Geetha was coordinating. It was an event for doctors. And from that day, there was no looking back. Their ceremony was short and sweet, and when it came time for Krishna to kiss his wife, he did...quite passionately!
Now Krishna and Geetha's vow renewal was not the first for me, but it was the first project for me that I would shoot completely with my Canon G10. I swapped the photography coverage in my cheapest package, the patriot package, from film coverage to digital. My camera of choice for my digital package was the new 15 megapixel Canon G10 pocket SLR camera. I shot the photos completely in automatic mode because I could not master the manual function. This was of course about two months ago. I am happy to say that as of now, I can shoot the G10 100% in manual mode, with complete confidence.
Krishna and Geetha, vows renewedShot on Canon G10 Shooting completely on digital taught me a few things about digital photography. First, the quality is nowhere near as good as film. Second, only half the work is done after you take the first shot. Digital shots have a way of looking bland, and must be touched up in the computer. Color must be added, along with pure whites and pure blacks. But digital coverage, for many couples, is all they need, especially for couples on a budget. So, this digital wave allows me to keep my cheapest package affordable. Krishna, Geetha, my last comments about you two....boy, you folks are a good looking couple. You are going to produce some very good looking kids. Steven Young The Hawaii Wedding Reporter http://www.dreamweddingshawaii.com/
