Here's a confession. I'm not a fan of Star Trek and I'm not a crazy fan of Star Trek, but I think I can see myself become one. I took a look at this movie last night with high expectations going in. And I think, in a sick way, I wanted to hate this movie because I really didn't want to see myself as a Trekkie. But, I couldn't help it. Star Trek was written so well, so perfectly, that I want to see this movie again to study it's story structure. It is everything that the Star Wars prequels should have been...awesome. The only thing which wasn't great as it should be was the action scenes. At times, you didn't know what was going on. But that was a minor setback to what Star Trek was.

If you haven't seen it yet...see it. If you want to get into screenwriting, see it. If you want to see some pretty awesome action scenes, see it. If you want to see one of the best movies of all time, see it. Yes, move on over Casablanca and Citizen Kane, there's a new kid on the block.
