Hawaii weddings

My Past Weddings...

Hey there! So you found the most interesting page on my site. This is my recent Oahu wedding, Hawaii wedding, and...well..lets be honest, it's a blog. The story behind this blog, well, it started out purely about Hawaii weddings, then it evolved into everything and all of the above. Basically, ITS MY BLOG!! So I write about anything on here. I updated this blog "alomost" on a daily basis. You can learn more about me, my quirks, my style, and of course, you'll get wedding tips here.

Call me if you want to make me richer..I mean, book my services!

Homeless problem in Oahu

HOMELESS PROBLEM IN OAHU
...oh yeah...it's true....BUT...

First, the bad news...I heard on the local news today that there are internet sites littered with recent tourist complaining about the homeless on the beaches in Honolulu. All I have to say is...finally, this problem makes the news. Yes, it is true, we do have a homeless problem in Oahu. In Kapiolani Park alone, there is an estimated 300 homeless. While they do keep to themselves, it is an eye sore. Most homeless are transplants, coming from the mainland to Hawaii, to catch the warm sunlight. Afterwall, what a better place to be homeless when the weather is nearly perfect all year around right? If I were homeless, I would. I once heard a report that States were actually buying their homeless tickets and shipping them here! Whether or not that's true is up for you to decide.

Now, the good news. The homeless are not at every beach. In fact, they are not at any of the locations where I do my weddings. My wedding locations are bascially too far for them to walk. And as far as their presence in Waikiki. Unless you travel to Kapiolani Park, you really won't see them.

The ironic news...the DLNR wants to regulate the amount of wedding that happens on the beach, but doesn't mind the homeless sleeping, litering, and dealing drugs there. Can someone say coo-coo?
