Our Past Weddings...

Aloha and welcome to our Recent Wedding Page, or what I like to call it, my company blog. This is where I get to write about my most recent weddings. I'll post as often as I can about each wedding, and a little off-topic wedding blogs as well (Just to keep it interesting). Couples have told me that they love this part of my site the best as they tend to get to know about me and my company more from my postings. Don't forget to call us if you're interested in our services at 1-800-557-1310 or email us at info@dreamweddingshawaii.com

Palin, politics, the bailout and global warming.

Palin, I have to say...is qualified...

Unfortuantely for you, this is not another wedding post... Sorry people. I'm just not in the posting mood for weddings at the moment. I'm very much into this year's political season as it seems to be more important than the years we elected and re-elected George Bush. This year, I am supporting John McCain and Sarah Palin. My reasons are simple. I like their no-spin no non-sense approach to the war on terror and economics. Obama and Biden seem to spin their answers, and to pin American's against each other. If you closely listen to Obama, he lables corporations, Bush, the wealthy, CEO's, as the enemy. Now there is no doubt in my mind, that there are corrupt corporations out there, some of Bush's decisions are some he should not be proud of, there are wealthy who skirt paying any taxes, CEO's included....but they are not all evil.

Here's were I stand on all of the important issues of today:

THE IRAQ WAR
It was a risky decision to go into Iraq, but ultimately, it has been worth the risk. Sadamm Hussein, a terrorist, and a sponsor of terrorists, is out of power. There is a democratic elected government in power, women have more rights in Iraq, children are being educated to not to be terrorists, and families no longer have to live in fear of being killed by Sadamm Hussein.

Obama and Biden may not consider Iraq essential to the war on terror, but Osama Bin Ladin, has been qouted saying that winning in Iraq is essential to the war on terror. If our sworn enemy says it...and our Generals on the ground say it, shouldn't we believe it as well?

I realize, invading Iraq, a sovreign nation, was really thinking out of the box for us. But for me, I have to look at this way. Think of the United States in an organic matter...a human in fact. Say, you're living in your house, and you have a lovely daughter. Now, right down the street, there is a madman who professes to the world that one day, he is going to kill your daughter, rape her, torture her in the name of his religion. Everyday, he builds up his weapons collections, in fact, holds meetings with sickos there who want to do the same thing. So now, he has a group of sickos to preach too. What are you going to do? Are you going to try to sit down with this madman and talk to him face to face, to see if you can convince him not too? You call the cops, but they say he has all the right to organize meetings, carry weapons, and as long as he didn't commit any crime, they can't arrest him.

The only thing you can do is to wait until this madman one day acts on his obessions and does the unthinkable. And then, you can sit across him in a jury, and hope that they sentence him to the death penalty.

Or...you can kill him, before he gets your daughter. So you see where I'm going with this. The United States, is your daughter...the pervert down the street is Sadaam. Something had to be done, before it was too late. Obama's plan of "Wait until something happens..." just doesn't do it for me. Obama's plan of "Sitting down across the table of a madman" Just doesn't do it for me either.

ECONOMY
I am for lower taxes, for everyone, but espeically the wealthy. The wealthy, which includes me, pays up to 56% of their personal income to taxes. We need a break. The notion that the wealthy don't pay their fair share is complete hogwash. The wealthy pay 90% of the government's budget. The bottom 50% of the taxpayer's out there pay 4% of the government's budget. The wealthy are already picking up most of the tab for federal and state spending. So this is what it amounts to. If I do a wedding everyday, 4 weddings pay for taxes, the other 3, pays my mortgage. Under Obama's plan....6 weddings will pay for taxes, the other 1, pays for...well, I can't pay my mortgage then. Paying more in taxes means I will either have to do less weddings, raise my prices, or both.....

As for the downturn in the economy. This is truly not George Bush's fault. This is not a result of failed economic policies or deregulation. The blame can actually fall upon the shoulders of Rep. Barney Frank, Maxing Waters, Thomas Carper, Robert Bennett, Maxing Waters, Chris Dodd, and Charles Schumer. Why them? Well...they basically forced Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, to put people who couldn't afford it... into homes, just to meet their own "housing goals" They also mocked Alan Greenspan, and other several personas who wanted to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, who warned that if nothing were to be done, we would face an economic crisis. Instead they chose to do nothing, because they wanted to put minorities and the poor into homes..... to reach housing goals. Here's the resource http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122290574391296381.html

Ultimately though, the responsibility of buying a home and losing it, falls squarly on the shoulders of the borrower. There is no such thing as predatory lending. None. Does anyone every trust a car salesman? No. Likewise, you should never trust a lender selling snakeoil either. But that's your responsibility. Not George Bush's. Just because you qualify for a 30,000 dollars credit card, you shouldn't spend every penny of it. Just because you qualify for a 1 million dollar house, and can only afford a 100,000 studio in downtown Waikiki...you don't get the 1 million dollar house!!!! Geez.....

Regarding the bailout. I think we should not use tax payers money to bailout Wall Street. Let these companies go under. Let them fail. Let larger more finaicially sound companies bail them out. As far as people losing their homes....it has to happen. They couldn't afford it in the first place.

LASTLY, GLOBAL WARMING
I do believe the earth is warming. But can someone please explain to me how exactly Co2 causes global warming? Co2 is a minor greenhouse gas. The major greenhouse gas being Water Vapor or H20. Co2, makes up a very small amount. Then of our earth's atmosphere, greenhouse gases make up very little. In fact, most of our atmopshere is a mixture of many gases, from oxygen to nitrogen, argon. Only .038% is Carbon Dioxide. How can .0386% have an influence on the weather? What about the other 99% of other gases? Seesh....

Maybe the sun has something to do with the changes of the weather patterns? Maybe the sun has to do something with the earth warming and cooling?

Can anyone explain to me how the world went through 6 ice ages, warmed and cooled, without the help of man. So this warming phase that we are in, we are 100% sure that it is caused by man?

Does man, really have the power to control the weather? Not a higher power...maybe the sun?

If Co2 does cause warming, why has it gotten cooler since 1998, and we have actually increased human co2 output? http://junkscience.com/MSU_Temps/Warming_Look.html

Are you aware that the Global Warming movement is insane.. I just googled their latest beliefs. That we should all not eat meat, because eating meat effects climate change!!! In fact one article said that cow farts affect climate change....(and not the sun!!) CHECK IT OUT!

Not only do they believe cow fart's affect climate change, but so do camp fires, married couples, weddings, plasma TV's, ughh..... basically capitalism and steak. Isn't it funny, that the radical left wing nut fears those two things: beef and capitalism. Give them a head of lettuce and a shirt with their hero Che on there, and they are good to go. Oh, throw in some pot, and they are really good to go.

I actaully do agree though that we have to find cleaner sources of energy. In fact sulfur oxide is much more of a threat than carbon dioxide. Sulfer oxide creates acid rain. Acid rain damages crops, pollutes drinking water supplies, etc..etc...

So, now you know where I stand. I'm pretty my a straight shooter here. You can tell me if I'm right or wrong. But as of now, McCain and Palin is the right choice for America
