Our Past Weddings...

Aloha and welcome to our Recent Wedding Page, or what I like to call it, my company blog. This is where I get to write about my most recent weddings. I'll post as often as I can about each wedding, and a little off-topic wedding blogs as well (Just to keep it interesting). Couples have told me that they love this part of my site the best as they tend to get to know about me and my company more from my postings. Don't forget to call us if you're interested in our services at 1-800-557-1310 or email us at info@dreamweddingshawaii.com

Stanley and Elizabeth Lee - Our second couple from Austrailia

Stanley and Elizabeth Lee
January 25 2005 - A church wedding

Stanley booked his wedding about a month out from his vacation. He phoned us shortly after emailing me and we had a great chat on the phone regarding his wedding. Stanly possessed one of those cool accents of a high-class Brit. Stanley booked our photo/video services and ended up booking with a chapel with another wedding company. Just for your 411, most of our weddings are performed on beaches or private estates, rarely in chapels.

Now, from Stanley's accent, I was expecting meet someone with similar looks to most of our couples from the UK. But to my surprise, Stanley was oriental and from Austrailia! That really threw me. His then fiancée, Elizabeth, who was born in Hong Kong, also lived most of her life in Australia and possessed a strong British accent. I'm not sure why there accent pulled more British than Australian. To be honest, I expect all Aussies to sound a little like Steve Irwin, but I when I meet them...they don't. I guess I throw many people for a spin as well because I am a full blown Chinese, but I sound like a pure American. Unfortunately, I don't even speak my native language at all.

So onto the wedding.

The wedding went okay. The other wedding company's vendors though didn't seem to be very professional to tell you the truth. The organist didn't know how to play very well, the woman wedding singer was really off key and could have made the blooper reel for American idol. The minister though, was good, passionate, always smiling, and very helpful to the couple. Despite all what was said above, the ceremony was nice. Stanley and Elizabeth love made the occasion great.

After the ceremony, we headed to Kaka'ako Waterfront Park to snap a handful of pictures, and then finished up at Magic Island. Stanley and Elizabeth was a quiet couple, but we were still able to get pictures that seemed out of the character. Stanley reminded me of an alternative rockers and I used that to my advantage in some of the pictures.
