Pat and Jolene's love story began over twenty years ago. Pat was then a young developer and Jolene was then a working actress slash stuntwoman in Hollywood. Yes Hollywood. There love story started out rather normal. They were friends who grew closer and eventually became more than friends. Jolene though, scared of falling in love, fled, breaking Pat's heart.
Pat soon after, left California and moved to Las Vegas to work as a contractor. Years went by with no sign of Jolene. Then decades passed. Pat soon became convinced that he would never see Jolene again.
Unknowing to Pat, during the passing decades, Jolene could not get him out of her mind, and she was engrossed with a passion to find Pat. Every moment that she got she scoured Las Vegas for him, but he was nowhere to be found. He didn't hang out at his old stomping ground, didn't live in his old house, and to make things worse, his phone number was unlisted. Jolene, like Pat was convinced that she had missed her opportunity to find her true love.
Both being devote Christians, they prayed night and day that God would help them find each other. Then on one miraculous day, twenty years later...he did.
It was just last year when Jolene decided to walk into Target with her son. It was a cloudy overcast day and sunrays pierced through the thick cloud cover above. As if it were a blessing from Heaven, one particular ray beamed its way into Target, and shined directly onto a familiar face. Jolene couldn't believe it. It was Pat! Pat, realizing the miracle that had manifested in Target did nothing but smile the largest smile of his life. That night, they spent hours together in Target, talking, catching up, and falling back in love. Since then, they have not been apart.
Pat and Jolene decided to complete their love story at Magic Island with Diamondhead as their main backdrop. There wasn't a dry eye there...well except for me. I still had to maintain my composer to make sure I could capture the moment. As soon as Patrick and Jolene send in there favorite pictures, we'll post them.
